Not everyone knows this, but it was the trustees of Boston University that originally conceived of Hotel Commonwealth as a place to help revitalize Kenmore Square – the gateway to BU’s campus – and joined with other partners to build the hotel. In the years since, we have prided ourselves on maintaining close ties with the wider BU community, on hand to support its administrators, professors, and especially its students and parents.
