Writers in Residence Submission

Writers in Residence Reading Suite Contest

Immerse yourself in the mind of New York Times bestselling author, Ben Mezrich. Indulge your inner ink-star in suite style. Apply to win a (2) week Hotel Commonwealth Writers in Residence Title and stay beginning 12/15/19 – 12/30/19 in Hotel Commonwealth’s very own Ben Mezrich Reading Suite. Applicants must submit a writing sample of the first 500 words or less of their target project, representing their writing and may submit a 100 word or less description/proposal of their work.

 

Selection process

All qualified submissions will be evaluated by a local panel derived from Boston Book Festival, Hotel Commonwealth, and Ben Mezrich.

 

Key Dates

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 1st, 2019

Winner Notification: November 15th – 30th

Residency Period: December 15, 2019 – December 30, 2019

    • Only one writing sample may be submitted per person. • Work submitted may not be previously published anywhere else. • Any submissions sent in after Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 will not be accepted. • To apply, please submit electronic copies only.
